Virgin Atlantic Redesigns Heathrow Lounge with New Facilities
Virgin Atlantic has launched a series of updates to its Clubhouse at London Heathrow, introducing a cinema zone, work pods, and a spa. These additions are part of an ongoing transformation, enhancing the lounge’s offerings for Upper Class passengers.
The redesigned layout was initially launched at Virgin Atlantic’s Los Angeles Clubhouse. Now, the London hub features a Royal Box area, designed to evoke a dramatic VIP experience with its private, secluded setting and clear runway views.
Exclusive Royal Box Experience
Access to the Royal Box is limited to invited guests. The space includes velvet-covered sofas in the airline’s signature red and a ‘Cabinet of Curiosities’—a bespoke table showcasing sweet treats and champagne.
Additional upgrades include two dedicated work pod studios, each equipped with modern desks, integrated power, and ‘on air’ indicators. The design nods to Virgin Records with framed vinyl records and a sleek, functional setup.
Immersive Cinema and Wellness Zones
The Cinema area has been reimagined as a cozy, private space with enhanced acoustics, royal blue armchairs, and red sofas. Integrated charging ports, TV access, and Bluetooth headphones further elevate the experience.
Wellness facilities are also expanding, with two pop-up wellness experiences available until 30 April. These include Somadomes—immersive domes offering light therapy, color, sound, and binaural beats to promote relaxation and focus.
Wellness and Design Highlights
Alongside the Somadomes, Secret Spa is providing treatments at the Clubhouse. These range from express massages to glow-boosting facials and manicures, with OSKIA and OPI products available for guests traveling on the new Seoul route.
The lounge now features a broader array of seating, tailored for business travelers, groups, and couples. Brass accents, warm lighting, and commissioned artworks by UK artists create a refined atmosphere, blending London’s transport heritage with Virgin’s signature aesthetic.
