Two Additional Arrests in Connection with 14-Year-Old Boy’s Shooting
Following the fatal shooting of a 14-year-old boy in south-east London, two more individuals have been detained on suspicion of murder. Eghosa Ogbebor succumbed to his injuries at the scene after being shot on Lord Warwick Street in Woolwich around 15:40 BST on Thursday.

On Saturday, the Metropolitan Police announced the arrest of a 16-year-old male and a 19-year-old man. A 46-year-old man was also taken into custody for allegedly aiding the perpetrator. Earlier, three people arrested on Friday for murder—two males aged 14 and 16, along with an 18-year-old man—were released on bail.
“Our team of committed detectives is actively pursuing leads to uncover the circumstances surrounding Eghosa’s fatal shooting,” said Det Ch Insp Lucie Card, who leads the investigation. She added, “Local residents might have observed heightened police activity in Woolwich last night as three additional suspects were apprehended. We are grateful for the community’s concern following Eghosa’s death, especially as they anticipate ongoing police presence in the vicinity.”
