Pioneering wildlife cameraman Doug Allan dies in Nepal
Douglas Allan, a celebrated wildlife filmmaker and photographer, passed away during a trek in Nepal at the age of 74. His career was marked by collaboration with Sir David Attenborough on iconic BBC projects such as The Blue Planet and Planet Earth. Allan’s contributions to environmental storytelling earned him eight Emmy Awards and an OBE in 2024 for his work in broadcast media and ecological awareness.
