Terrifying ‘security breach’ spotted in Trump’s Situation Room as Ice Maiden Susie Wiles faces blowback
Susie Wiles, a staunch supporter of Donald Trump, is under scrutiny following a photo of her with a fitness tracker near the President during the Iran strike. The White House posted images from Trump’s makeshift Mar-a-Lago Situation Room on Saturday morning, showcasing the launch of ‘Operation Epic Fury’ that led to the death of Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.
The image in question reveals Wiles engaged in conversation with Trump, her wrist adorned with a personal electronic device. While some speculated it was an Apple Watch, it was later confirmed as a WHOOP fitness tracker. Critics raised concerns, suggesting the device’s Bluetooth connectivity could pose a risk in a high-security environment.
“I love my @WHOOP (and immediately recognized it in the photo of Susie Wiles)”
CNN’s Brian Stelter echoed this sentiment, posting the same observation. WHOOP’s CEO, Will Ahmed, clarified that the tracker lacks microphone, GPS, and cellular features, emphasizing its security by design. The device is also listed as approved by the National Security Agency (NSA) for personal use.
The White House further vouched for Wiles in a statement directed to the Daily Mail, asserting that WHOOP devices are cleared for wear during classified briefings. Meanwhile, some analysts pointed out that while NSA-sanctioned, most intelligence agencies strictly prohibit Bluetooth-enabled wearables like smartwatches in secure settings.
Others criticized the White House for conducting the attack from Trump’s Palm Beach retreat instead of a dedicated secure room in Washington. ‘The president just started a war,’ wrote Atlantic staff writer Tom Nichols. ‘He should be in DC, as should his [national security] team, and he should have been on TV last night in the Oval – and without a dopey grandpa hat.’
Vice President JD Vance, alongside National Intelligence Director Tulsi Gabbard, was present at the White House Situation Room during the operation. However, the Mar-a-Lago setup faced mockery, with one X user noting its lack of walls. ‘You can literally see people listening in. These are just drapes tossed over some ceiling beams. Completely open for people to see and overhear what’s going on.’
Iran retaliated with strikes across the Middle East after the US-Israeli attack on Tehran. Targets included the Fifth Fleet service center in Manama, Bahrain, and alleged bases in Qatar, the United Arab Emirates, and Kuwait. The Ayatollah’s palace was among the sites hit by missiles. Casualties from these strikes remain uncertain, though Iran is reported to have deployed kamikaze drones against residential areas and airports.
CENTOM confirmed Sunday that three US troops have been killed in the operation, though the full impact of the retaliation is still being assessed.
