Incident Details
Police report that a woman was raped by multiple men outside a church following her departure from a Surrey nightclub. The attack is believed to have taken place between 2:00 and 4:00 BST on Saturday, shortly after she left the Labyrinth Epsom venue. The victim, aged in her 20s, was targeted near the Epsom Methodist Church on Ashley Road.
“We understand this is an extremely distressing incident and the victim is being supported by specialist officers,” said Det Insp Aine Matthews.
Investigation Update
Authorities have noted that full descriptions of the suspects remain pending, though ongoing investigations are actively seeking to identify and track them. “Our investigation is in its early stages,” Matthews added. “We are working at pace to develop our picture of the suspects, and we will share details as soon as we are able to.”
